Chromenylchalcones showing cytotoxicity on human colon cancer cell lines and in silico docking with aurora kinases

- Chromenylchalcones designed from hybrids of chalcone and chromenone were synthesized.
- Their clonogenicities were tested on HCT116 human colorectal cancer cell lines.
- One of them showed the IC50 value competing with well-known flavonoids.
- In vitro kinases assay demonstrated the compound inhibited aurora kinases.
- The binding modes with aurora kinases were elucidated using in silico docking.
