Studies on synthesis and activation mechanism of mitomycin dimers connected by 1,2-dithiolane and diol linkers

A mitomycin dimer connected by a 1,2-dithiolane (a five-membered cyclic disulfide) linker was highly efficient for nucleophilic activation and corresponding production of DNA interstrand cross-link (DNA ISC) adducts.
