Synthesis and discovery of highly functionalized mono- and bis-spiro-pyrrolidines as potent cholinesterase enzyme inhibitors

A series of novel spiro heterocycles comprising pyrrolidine, spiroxindole and piperidine moieties was synthesized and assayed for their cholinesterase inhibitory activity, most of these cycloadducts displayed significant AChE inhibitory activity.
