Identification of selective tubulin inhibitors as potential anti-trypanosomal agents

A series of sulfonamide tubulin inhibitors were tested with Trypanosoma brucei and human cancer and normal cells, and several of them selectively inhibited the growth of the parasite cells without affecting mammalian cell proliferation.
