Synthesis of β-cyclodextrin modified chitosan-poly(acrylic acid) nanoparticles and use as drug carriers

► CS-PAACD NPs was obtained by introducing β-CD into CS-PAA nanoparticles. ► The size and the structure of CS-PAACD NPs can be controlled by varying the content of β-CD in them. ► These CS-PAACD NPs had a pH responsible property and excellent encapsulation ability to paclitaxel. ► These paclitaxel loaded CS-PAACD NPs showed high cytotoxicity against C6 glioma cells.
