Protective effects of aminoethyl-chitooligosaccharides against oxidative stress and inflammation in murine microglial BV-2 cells

► Intracellular antioxidant activities of aminoethyl-chitooligosaccharides (AE-COS) was investigated on BV-2 cells. ► AE-COS inhibits inflammatory response in LPS-activated microglia. ► AE-COS has protective effect against neuroinflammation. ► Collectively, AE-COS can be used as a free radical scavenger in the prevention and treatment of neuroinflammatory diseases.
