Analysis of compositional carbohydrates in polysaccharides and foods by capillary zone electrophoresis

► The separation and identification of many carbohydrates is a challenging research. ► A borate buffer with methanol modifier provided a good CZE separation. ► This is the first report showing a CZE method for thirteen reducing carbohydrates. ► The method was tested with quality control samples of polysaccharides and foods. ► The method has been found to provide accurate and precise results.
