Radiation synthesis and characterization of hyaluronan capped gold nanoparticles

► AuNPs 4-10 nm were synthesized in HA solution by γ-irradiation. ► Narrow size distribution and quasi-spherical AuNPs were obtained. ► Small size of AuNPs resulted by processing with high dose rate and HA concentration. ► AuNPs/HA solution was stable for long period at ambient condition. ► AuNPs/HA can potentially be applied in biomedicine and cosmetic.
