Multi-responsive carboxymethyl polysaccharide crosslinked hydrogels containing Jeffamine side-chains

► Temperature and pH-sensitive polysaccharide crosslinked hydrogels were prepared. ► They contain Jeffamine M units linked on crosslinked carboxymethylpullulan hydrogel. ► The physico-chemical characterization evidenced their multi-responsive properties. ► Lutein and alpa-tocopherol retained on hydrogels have presented antioxidant activity. ► Interaction with biomolecules recommends them as supports for controlled drug release.
