Improvement of performance behavior of cellulosic fiber with polyurethane acrylate copolymers

► We improved the performance behavior of cellulose fiber with polyurethane acrylates copolymer (PUA). ► The PUA copolymers were synthesized following three step synthesis processes using diisocyanate, polyol and acrylates. ► The synthesized PUA were characterized and applied using dip-padding techniques onto the printed cellulosic fabrics. ► The emulsion stability and pilling rating improved continually by decreasing the percentage of butyl acrylate (BuA). ► By increasing the concentration of vinyl terminated polyurethane prepolymer, the results were further improved.
