Plasticized-starch/poly(ethylene oxide) blends prepared by extrusion

► This paper report for the first time the elaboration of plasticized-starch/PEO using extrusion. ► The addition of PEO greatly improves the processability of plasticized-starch. ► Thanks to a synergy effect, the blend has higher stiffness than both plasticized-starch and PEO.
