Investigation of silver nanoparticles synthesis using aminated β-cyclodextrin

► Aminated β-cyclodextrin was prepared by the reaction of cholroethyl amine with β-cyclodextrin. ► Different factors affecting the preparation of aminated β-cyclodextrin were studied. ► Aminated β-cyclodextrin was characterized by measuring the nitrogen content and FTIR. ► The so obtained aminated β-cyclodextrin was used as reducing and stabilizing agent for the preparation of Ag-nanoparticles. ► Results obtained indicate that aminated β-cyclodextrin is effective in Ag-nanoparticles preparation
