Scalable ionic gelation synthesis of chitosan nanoparticles for drug delivery in static mixers

► Scalable ionic gelation synthesis of chitosan (CS) nanoparticles (NPs) was carried out in static mixers. ► 152-376 nm CS NPs were achieved by the proposed technique. ► Particle size and productivity can be tuned by adjusting flow rate, CS/TPP concentration, etc. ► Sylicylic acid has been successfully loaded into CS NPs.
