Effect of electrolyte concentration on microstructure and properties of micro arc oxidized hydroxyapatite/titania nanostructured composite

► MAO derived HAp nanostructured crystalline layers, without extra thermal treatment. ► Layers with the highest porosity were fabricated in the lowest electrolyte concentration. ► By the addition of calcium acetate and β-glycerophosphate, pore size changes similarly. ► By the addition of these salts in electrolyte, porosity fraction does not obey a same trend.
