Microparticles of poly(hydroxybutyrate-co-hydroxyvalerate) loaded with andiroba oil: Preparation and characterization

► We used an efficient methodology to encapsulate andiroba oil in PHBV. ► The characterization of the systems showed that microcapsules were obtained. ► The developed system allows the use of the andiroba oil as insecticide in solid form.
