Nanostructural effect of acid-etching and fluoride application on human primary and permanent tooth enamels

► APF pre-treatment led to decreased surface roughness in the enamel. ► After APF treatment, the more roughness increased with increasing time elapsed. ► Acid-etching should be performed two weeks after fluoride application.
