Development, characterization, and photocytotoxicity assessment on human melanoma of chloroaluminum phthalocyanine nanocapsules

► Nanocapsules containing a hydrophobic metallophthalocyanine (ClAlPc) were developed. ► The colloidal formulations were characterized by their physicochemical parameters. ► ClAlPc nanocapsules were used for the photosensitization of human melanoma cell lines. ► Phototoxicity was achieved with low ClAlPc nanocapsules concentration and light dose.
