Dielectric properties, conductivity, UV-visible and infrared spectroscopy of PbO P2O5 NaF glasses containing WO3

► The P2O5-PbO-NaF-WO3 glass system was prepared using melt quenching method. ► The type of electronic transitions in the present glass system is indirectly allowed. ► The dielectric increases with increase of WO3 content of glasses. ► Addition of WO3 into glass results in the formation of W-O-W and P-O-W linkages.
