Oxide scale characterization of hot rolled coils by Raman spectroscopy technique

The Laser Raman spectroscopy study has shown that different steels have different nature of oxides which leads to the variation in picklability behavior. The present study has shown that Raman spectroscopy is a dependable tool to characterize the oxides.
