Quantum interference between a single-photon Fock state and a coherent state

► Analytical expressions for a beam splitter transformation with a single-photon and a coherent state at its input are derived. ► The results are generalized to Mach-Zehnder interferometers. ► Displaced Fock states at the output ports are encountered. ► Wigner functions of the output states are presented. ► Generalizations to arbitrary input states are considered.
