Effects of La addition on the elevated temperature properties of the casting Al-Cu alloy

▶ The addition of La to the Al-Cu alloy increased the tensile strengthen and creep resistance. ▶ The mechanical properties of the modified alloy are related to the refinement of θ′ precipitates. ▶ The Al-Cu alloy modified by 0.3 wt.% La possesses the optimum mechanical properties.
