Use of the Rietveld refinement method for the preparation of pure lead hexaferrite

A simple method for preparing polycrystalline bulk PbFe12O19 hexaferrite has been developed. Ceramic samples were prepared using the ceramic method, and any lead deficiency can be compensated by a correct X-ray diffraction analysis by the Rietveld refinement method and a further addition of PbO. Adequate sintering conditions are necessary to obtain the single-phase compound.
