Boron nitride coatings by chemical vapor deposition from borazine

► Turbostratic BN was obtained from borazine at low temperatures. ► 900 °C is high enough for complete decomposition of borazine. ► The coatings have a preferred orientation near the coating/graphite interface. ► The turbostratic BN transforms into hexagonal BN heat treated at 1400 °C.
