Stable TiO2/rectorite: Preparation, characterization and photocatalytic activity

► The photocatalyst (TiO2/rectorite) was prepared at low temperature. ► The specific surface area of the TiO2/rectorite was larger than that of rectorite. ► The photocatalyst shows excellent photocatalytic activity under UV light irradiation. ► The photocatalyst remained stable after five photocatalytic degradation cycles.
