Stabilization of expansive soils for use in construction

► We show the use of conventional and non conventional additives for soil treatments. ► We reduced its swelling capacity and improved its mechanical capacities. ► The higher swelling reductions were obtained when lime and MgO were combined. ► Lime-RHFA and MgO-RHFA combinations obtained the best mechanical properties.
