Blueberry extract prolongs lifespan of Drosophila melanogaster

► We studied the effect of blueberry on the aging in fruit fly. ► Blueberry could prolong the mean lifespan by 10% in wild type. ► Blueberry could up-regulate SOD, catalase and Rpn11 in wild type. ► Blueberry could down-regulate the Methuselah. ► Blueberry could not prolong the mutant flies deficient in SOD and catalase.
