TG-interacting factor-induced superoxide production from NADPH oxidase contributes to the migration/invasion of urothelial carcinoma

► The role of TGIF in the progression of UC was studied. ► AKT1 overexpression promotes cellular Nox2/p67phox activation and invasive ability. ► TGIF induces superoxide generation from Nox2/p67phox via the PI3K/AKT pathway. ► TGIF-induced superoxide generation enhances migration/invasion ability of UC cells.
