Improving transmembrane protein consensus topology prediction using inter-helical interaction

► We developed a consensus alpha helix transmembrane protein topology prediction method CNTOP. ► Transmembrane inter-helical interaction is first time introduced into the topology prediction. ► This improved the topology prediction precision, especially for the polytopic alpha helix transmembrane proteins. ► High accurate topology prediction will benefit the studies on transmembrane protein structure.
