Targeted disruption of Mcm10 causes defective embryonic cell proliferation and early embryo lethality

► MCM10-deficient mouse embryos die at the peri-implantation stage and none can be recovered after E8.5. ► MCM10-null mouse embryos show defective cell proliferation, followed by cell death. ► Mouse Mcm10 is highly expressed during early embryogenesis and in tissue enriched with proliferative cells.
