A simple, cost-effective and flexible method for processing of snap-frozen tissue to prepare large amounts of intact RNA using laser microdissection

► Molecular basis of disease requires understanding gene expression profiling. ► For this purpose, LMD has been invaluable in acquiring homogeneous cell populations. ► However, often only small amounts of low quality RNA is recovered by LMD. ► Here we report a method for preparation of large amounts of intact RNA using LMD. ► The developed method is simple, inexpensive and flexible.
