Neuropilin-1 regulates a new VEGF-induced gene, Phactr-1, which controls tubulogenesis and modulates lamellipodial dynamics in human endothelial cells

►In HUVECs, Phactr-1 has a key role in tubulogenesis. ►High affinity VEGF-A receptors, NRP-1/VEGFR-1, are involved in Phactr-1 expression. ►Phactr-1 silencing decreased protein phosphatase − 1 activity. ►Phactr-1 depletion disorganized actin cytoskeleton and lamellipodial movements.
