Leishmania cell-free protein expression system

► Cell-free expression is fastest way to generate recombinant proteins. ► We describe preparation of Leishmania protozoa-based in vitro translation system. ► We show that libraries of Rab GTPases can be produced in and isolated from this expression system. ► Medium scale expression and purification of two GTPases is described.
