Effects of polyphenol extract from olive pomace on anoxia-induced endothelial dysfunction

► Anoxia is associated with endothelial cell dysfunction. ► Olive pomace polyphenol extract modulates the expression of MMPs, iNOS, COX-2 and TNFα. ► The extract shows anti-proliferative and anti-migratory activity. ► The effects are mediated by NF-κB inactivation and p38 phosphorylation. ► Olive pomace polyphenol extract restores endothelial function impaired by anoxia.
