Capillaroscopic pattern in inflammatory arthritis

► Until now, nailfold capillaroscopy is still insufficiently applied in inflammatory arthritis. ► Interestingly, capillaroscopic examination reveals characteristic changes in patients with RA both with and without RP. ► Nailfold capillaroscopy revealed also characteristic changes in PsA patients with involvement of hand joints. ► In patients with early arthritis, the capillaroscopic examination may facilitate differential diagnosis. ► Results from the study confirm the potential of nailfold capillaroscopy in the diagnostic algorithm of inflammatory arthritis.
