Single nucleotide polymorphisms in sFRP4 are associated with bone and body composition related parameters in Danish but not in Belgian men

► Association study with SNPs in sFRP4 and osteoporosis and obesity related parameters. ► In Danish men we found six SNPs associated with hip geometry parameters. ► In Danish men we found age specific associations with body height and body fat. ► The associations could not be replicated in an independent Belgium population.
