Synergistic effects of dopamine D2-like receptor antagonist sulpiride and beta-blocker propranolol on learning in the Carousel maze, a dry-land spatial navigation task

► The Carousel maze is a spatial test highly dependent upon the hippocampus. ► We studied behavioral effects of combined application of sulpiride and propranolol. ► Both substances acted synergistically and potentiated their effects upon behavior.
