Interactions between ACE inhibitors and classical antiepileptic drugs in the mouse maximal electroshock seizures

► Effects of ACE inhibitors, enalapril and cilazapril, on the anticonvulsant action of carbamazepine, phenytoin, valproate and phenobarbital were examined. ► Enalapril potentiated the anticonvulsant activity of valproate. ► This interaction can be pharmacodynamic in nature.
