Effects of acute and chronic methylphenidate on delay discounting

► Acute administration of methylphenidate decreased impulsive choice in the SHR. ► No evidence of tolerance or sensitization after chronic administration. ► No significant withdrawal effects were evident. ► Dopamine transporter dynamics may underlie some of the behavioral changes observed.
