Anabolic-androgenic steroid effects on nociception and morphine antinociception in male rats

► AAS decreases body weight gain. ► AAS altered reproductive organ weights. ► AAS did not significantly alter acute nociception. ► AAS did not attenuate development of chronic pain indices after CFA administration. ► Morphine antinociceptive potency was decreased by DHT on the hotplate test only.
