Behavioral, hyperthermic and pharmacokinetic profile of para-methoxymethamphetamine (PMMA) in rats

► PMMA 5 and 20 mg/kg have overall stimulatory effects on locomotion. ► PMMA 5 and 20 mg/kg disrupt sensorimotor gating. ► PMMA 20 mg/kg increases body temperature. ► Temperature rise accentuate and accompanied by perspiration in crowded condition. ► PMMA 20 mg/kg had delayed peak in maximum brain concentrations compared to 5 mg/kg.
