► Injection of nicotine (i.p.) induced anxiogenic-like behaviors. ► Intra-CA1 injection of SCH23390 or sulpiride reversed anxiogenic induced by nicotine. ► Administration of SKF38393 or quipirole plus nicotine increased anxiogenic behaviors.
