Identification of salt responsive genes using comparative microarray analysis in Upland cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.)

▶ 720 salt-responsive genes were identified by microarray analysis. ▶ 25 out of 720 genes were up-regulated in tolerant plants. ▶ 695 out of 720 genes were down-regulated in sensitive plants. ▶ Seventeen salt-responsive candidate genes were validated by qRT-PCR.
