Application of IgY to sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays, lateral flow devices, and immunopillar chips for detecting staphylococcal enterotoxins in milk and dairy products

► We developed chicken IgY antibodies for staphylococcal enterotoxins. ► The specific IgYs showed no reaction with staphylococcal protein A. ► The IgYs were applicable for ELISAs, lateral flow devices and immunopillar chips. ► The immunopillar chip detected SEs with a detection limit (0.01-0.1 ng/ml) in milk. ► The ELISA and LFD showed good performance on contaminated dairy products.
