Development of an amperometric immunosensor for detection of staphylococcal enterotoxin type A in cheese

► A novel amperometric immunosensor for detection of staphylococcal enterotoxin A in cheese was successfully constructed. ► A platform of cysteamine-protein A- anti-SEA was selected for the development of the immunosensor. ► The proposed immunosensor gave comparable results to commercial kit for detection of staphylococcal enterotoxin A.
