Development of a multiplex real-time PCR for contagious agalactia diagnosis in small ruminants

► We developed a multiplex real-time PCR for contagious agalactiae diagnosis. ► The four etiological agents are included and differentially identified. ► Intra- and inter-species variability was assessed for assay design. ► The assay limit of detection is around 10 gene copies per reaction.
