Stadtteilarbeit und Gesundheitsförderung in deprivierten Stadtvierteln

In deprived neighborhoods individual and environmental disadvantages interact in a way that contribute to worsen the health inequalities and to further reduce the health chances for the residents. There is an urgent need to coordinate municipal strategies, health policies and local activities. Community organizing, social work, and health promotion have to focus on the improvement of social and physical environments. To use a participatory approach, to work with key persons, to build stable networks and to emphasize social and joyful motives are promising strategies.
