Recessive protective effect of ADIPOQ rs1501299 on cardiovascular diseases with type 2 diabetes: A meta-analysis

► We determined and justified the best genetic model of inheritance according to a predefined protocol. ► Our results showed a recessive protective effect of ADIPOQ rs1501299 (+276G>T) on CVD for T2D population. ► It could be presumed that the ADIPOQ rs1501299 (+276G>T) be a potential cause of susceptibility to CVDs in persons with T2D. ► Our results give a new opportunity to investigate the mechanisms of CVDs susceptibility with T2D patients.
