چکیده انگلیسی
▶ tPA activity is transiently increased but decreased chronically in ischemic brain. ▶ tPA and PAI-1 is mainly expressed in neurons and astrocytes, respectively. ▶ tPA is released in acute condition in neurons by glutamate. ▶ PAI-1 is upregulated in chronic condition by inflammatory signal. ▶ Overall, increased PAI-1 downregulates tPA activity in chronic ischemic condition.
