Network structure is related to social conflict in a cooperatively breeding fish

► We explored social conflict in a cooperatively breeding fish using network analysis. ► Dominance hierarchies were found to be highly transitive and directionally consistent. ► Social conflict was highest near the top of the hierarchy. ► However, social conflict was not related to body size asymmetry or sex. ► Furthermore, spatial associations between individuals were not related to size or sex.
