Synthesis, fine structure of 19F NMR and fluorescence of novel amorphous TPA derivatives having perfluorinated cyclopentenyl and benzo[b]thiophene unit

► Three novel amorphous triphenylamine (TPA) derivatives were obtained from an “abnormally” intermediate. ► 19F NMR of perfluorinated cyclopentenyl compounds. ► Fluorescence of the compounds in solution and solid-state. ► Fluorescent quantum yield in solution was measured. ► Amorphism of the solid powder was measured by DSC.
